What an MCC panel does
A Motor Control Centre groups the starters for pumps, fans, compressors and conveyors in one panel. Each module has a breaker, contactor and overload relay, or a soft starter or VFD, to start, stop and protect one motor.
How buyers choose
The motor list drives everything: the kW and starter type for each motor, the need for draw-out modules on critical plants, and spare feeders for future motors. Ask for Type 2 coordination so each starter survives a short circuit without damage.
